Who we are
Heart to Heart', keeps the members well informed on various aspects of health.
In 1989, two visionaries, Late Mr. T. Ramesh U. Pai and Dr. Ramdas Pai Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, invited Dr. Hans Diehl, founder director of Lifestyle Medicine Institute, Loma Linda, California, USA, to conduct an intensive heart disease education program, known as the “Bangalore Heart Project”, in association with the Seventh Day Adventist Church of India.
The Alumni of this beneficial project formed the Healthy Hearts Club in May 1989, under the able leadership of Mr. Gyan Prakash Gupta. Over hundred good hearted persons joined hands to practice and augment the ideals of Dr. Diehl.
The Club organized Chip-II (Coronary Health Improvement Project) with a four-week, “Live with All your Heart”, an educational intervention program by Dr. Diehl during February 1993 in association with the Manipal Hospital, Bangalore.

Healthy Heart Association has objectives of dynamically reaching out to the idea of good health, bringing forth a transformation in the quality of the physical, mental and spiritual life.
- To provide authentic information to facilitate healthcare and well-being.
- To promote increased awareness and concern, a better way to better health. To provide an instrument to promote friendly
- communication between people everywhere on person to person basis.
- To consolidate under one forum – various people
- who cherish a faith in the ultimate goodness of nature and nature’s methods of good health.
- To reinforce and propagate its philosophy of lifestyle medicine by fostering fellowship, supporting scientific. practical, innovative and medical research based approaches to healthcare.
- To conduct yearly health check up programs at subsidized rates and organize health awareness camps.
